To all Bourbon:30 Show presenters and panelists, please follow this handy guide for getting to the Kentucky Bourbon Festival, getting your entry wristbands and moving easily to the Main Stage located in the right side of the festival grounds. If you follow these digital breadcrumbs, you should have no trouble getting to the right place at the right time. If any problems arise, contact us at the numbers or emails on the top left side of this page. Note: During the festival, it will be necessary for us to occasionally mute our phones.
Where to go
Kentucky Bourbon Festival, 114 N. 5th Street, Bardstown, Ky. 40004. The drive from Louisville or Lexington is about an hour; from Elizabethtown, about 30 minutes.
Parking
On streets and surrounding neighborhoods. Budget time to find parking and for walking. It shouldn’t be more than a 10 minute walk.
To enter
The main entrance to the grounds is on 5th Street. You’ll need to retrieve your wristband at Will Call, which is located next to the main entrance.
If your Bourbon:30 segment begins at 12:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday or Sunday, arrive at 11:30 a.m. so we can expedite your progress onto the grounds. A separate email will be sent to you with added but easy instructions.
If you are using the shuttle service to Louisville and back … you have to have your wristband to get on the bus. So keep it with you all weekend.
Where to meet on the grounds
The Bourbon:30 Stage. Scroll down to view the included overhead view of the KBF grounds. Once you get onto the grounds, it’s a 5-minute walk, tops. Just follow the arrows on the map.
When to meet
10-15 minutes prior to your scheduled Bourbon:30 session, and on the side of the stage, where the sound board is. There you’ll meet the moderator, fellow panelists and have a quick mic check with our sound team.
What to expect during the show
Suggested and specific topical questions have been sent to panelists. There will be no surprises/gotcha stuff or anything controversial. All interviews are geared to be conversational, entertaining and tap into panelists’ subject matter knowledge. Be entertaining and fun by bribing your best stories.
Before and after your segment
Please feel free to enjoy the festival with general admission privileges such as sampling. If you get hungry, are food trucks on Fifth Street, restaurants and bars close enough to walk to, and you can exit and re-enter the Festival using your wristband.
