Kentucky Bourbon Festival, 114 N. 5th Street, Bardstown, Ky. 40004. The drive from Louisville or Lexington is about an hour; from Elizabethtown, about 30 minutes.

On streets and surrounding neighborhoods. Budget time to find parking and for walking. It shouldn’t be more than a 10 minute walk.

The main entrance to the grounds is on 5th Street. You’ll need to retrieve your wristband at Will Call, which is located next to the main entrance.

If your Premium Event begins at 1 p.m. or 1:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday or Sunday, arrive at 11:30 a.m. so we can expedite your progress onto the grounds and escort you to the prep kitchen in the Great Tent. A separate email will be sent to you with added but easy instructions.

If you are using the shuttle service to Louisville and back … you have to have your wristband to get on the bus. So keep it with you all weekend.

The Great Tent section is where all will do their presentations. Scroll down to view the included overhead view of the KBF grounds. Once you enter the Festival, it’s a 5-minute walk straight back to the tent.

• Any swag that you’d like to share with guests is acceptable.
• If we requested you supply whiskey or branded tasting cups for the event, we’ll likely have retrieved it on Thursday from your booth.

20 minutes prior to your scheduled Premium Event and inside that tent. Look for/ask for Josh Hafer and he’ll direct you from there. This will give you a chance to meet your moderator, fellow panelists and have a quick mic check with our sound team.

Please arrive at least 1 hour prior to the start of your scheduled Premium Event. Come to the tent where you are scheduled to present, and ask a volunteer where the prep area is for your event. In that general area, you’ll find Josh Hafer and many hands to help. We have teams focused on catering and bartending, so their wish is your command.

Note: Since a handful of performers will need assistance with food, drink or equipment, we will email you separately about easier entrance to the Festival grounds.

**Note: Per our insurance policy guidelines, our bartending assistants are the only people allowed to pour alcohol for each demonstration or whiskey tasting. Please allow them to pour all whiskies. All assistants will know beforehand what portions to pour.

I’ve sent out suggested topical questions to moderators, but they may reshape them as desired. There will be no surprises/gotcha questions or anything controversial. All interviews are geared to be conversational, entertaining and tap into panelists’ unique knowledge of the subject matter. Please be relaxed, engaging and entertaining by bringing your best stories.

Each demo will feature a moderator to communicate with the chef or bartender as they work. The moderator also will seek guest comments and questions. Bottom line, be informative, fun and entertaining.

Please feel free to enjoy the festival with general admission privileges such as sampling. If you get hungry, are food trucks on Fifth Street, restaurants and bars close enough to walk to, and you can exit and re-enter the Festival using your wristband. Since the event ends at 6 p.m., please have all of your gear packed up and ready to return to your car. Volunteer help will be available.
